Resumehelp.com Review

Resumehelp.com is an automated resume generating website that has no actual experts but just tools to help you write a resume. You simply enter your details or choose from predefined texts to create your resume. But is it the professional resume writing service you are looking for?

Range of services

As the name specifies, Resumehelp.com provides you tools to build your resume faster by using its predesigned tools. You simply drag and drop components from the sidebar and you get your resume. But most of the components are just sample texts that you can use to fill the resume but it’s not good quality content.

Prices, discounts and special features

  • 14-day full access – $2.90

  • Monthly – $7.90

Plans on Resumehelp.com do not reflect the quality of this website. The 14-day full access plan automatically renews to $24.90 after the trial period is over. A monthly access plan is also available at $7.90. You can also pay $94.80 upfront for a year and save 68%. But paying this much for a website which provides no authenticity in its resume builder with outdated tools doesn’t make sense.

Resumehelp.com provides an option to choose the perfect resume template according to the job type or the city or state. This is not different from the sample templates option. This is just an alternate way of selling the same things.

There were no discounts on this website. No promo codes for new users or returning users were specified. Just a trial period is offered which provides all the features on this website at the price of $2.90.

Writers certification and guarantees

There are two main certifications – the Professional Association of Resume Authors created the “CPRW” certification and the Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees “CSDG”. Resumehelp is ready to take your money and try to make you a resume, but they could not get a real certification and just use this name on their website.

Quality of an ordered product

As you are doing most of the work yourself here, the quality actually depends on how well can you write. The level of plagiarism is also high as most of the content from the website’s tools is predefined and is the same for people with the same job profile. So, the result may look a little bit dated and very boring.

Deadlines

Delivery is instant. You can simply download your resume in PDF format or e-mail it. This is expected though, as all the resume writing services provide a direct download.

Customer support

Every payment made on the website is processed through Norton Secured. The term and conditions are also specified clearly and there is no hidden price. However, some users complained about the payment renewing automatically without their knowledge. But I felt that it was clearly mentioned on the website.
The only thing that bothered me was the fact that when you are building your resume, there is no mention of this service being a paid one. You can spend like a couple of hours editing your essay and then find out that this service is paid actually. This could’ve been more transparent.

The process of creating your resume is fairly easy. Just a few clicks and drags and your resume is ready. Everything is sorted well. But the only issue is the quality of the content. Yes, it is fast. Yes, it is simple to use. But I don’t think the quality of resume is actually professional grade. Most of the times, you find yourself using the tools provided on the website. Which makes your resume look like a template and very monotonous. The options that appear as a help to end writer’s block are so repetitive that I guess every resume generated on resumehelp.com looks same.

Moreover, customer support was unresponsive and took hours to reply. There is a live chat option available on the website but it is of no use. I tried contacting their customer support through chat and there was no response at all.

Overall Experience

Resumehelp.com fails to fulfill the promise of helping in creating a professional-quality builder in minutes. It is just a website for the beginners, who have no idea about writing a resume or a CV. You can take hints from the website to improve your resume. But I would not recommend spending money on something as trivial as this. My experience with this website was full of disappointment. I was expecting a more personal experience at this price. The process is smooth but the result is not professional. I would recommend looking at other alternatives and save you money.
